Roaster's Notes
Kayanza is Burundi’s best coffee region, and Kibingo is one of its most traceable operations. Red Bourbon trees, many over 50 years old, grow in volcanic soil at 1,700 to 1,900 meters, where cool nights extend cherry maturation and build real flavor in the cup. Greenco has managed this station since 2015 with a fully washed process that tracks every lot from the fermentation tank to the drying table to export. The result is a coffee that leads with Concord grape juice. It's jammy and sweet, not bright or sharp, before settling into cacao and brown sugar. Expect a round, juicy body with soft, gentle acidity. It's balanced and genuinely easy to drink.
