Tiramisu for breakfast? Just say yes! This sweet, decadent Mexico Miramar is our favorite new indulgence, freshly arrived from Dapper & Wise. The aroma is pure, sweet almond butter, with flavors like cocoa-dusted tiramisu and hot chocolate with Mexican spices. Pair this clean, sweet cup with a chocolate croissant and you’ve got a real breakfast of champions.
Fine Mexican coffee is the white wine of the coffee world: light and delicate, with a buttery caramel roundness and flavors of chocolate and cocoa powder, cinnamon spice, toasted nuts, and clean, gentle acidity. Mexico has been a coffee-producer since as early as the 1790s, from plants brought over from other areas under Spanish rule. It was only after the Mexican revolution of 1920, when plantations were broken up and redistributed to the indigenous population, that the coffee industry could flourish. Today, most of the farms in Mexico, and Oaxaca, are small and family-run: this Mexico Miramar is sourced from a lot of 15 small producers in Oaxaca, most of whom are women. Dapper and Wise travelled down to Oaxaca earlier this year, to source this coffee, and they’re proud to support this close-knit community of micro-growers.
With the smooth, rich flavors of almond butter and chocolate tiramisu, this sweet Mexican roast is a decadent twist on a breakfast staple. Reserve a bag of the small-lot Mexican Miramar from Dapper & Wise, and you can have your tiramisu—and drink it too!
A clean and comforting coffee that reminds us of dark chocolate, tiramisu, and almond butter.
The Mexico Miramar is named after the community it comes from, Guadalupe Miramar, and consists of small lots from 15 different producers, most of whom are women. Quality control standards are strict at the mill where the coffee is delivered, and lots are kept separate until it’s clear who will benefit most from selling their coffee as a “Single Producer Lot” and who will gain more from combining their small lots with others. This happens on a regular basis and because it is often better for those Producers. We love buying these micro-regional blends in order to support as many Producers as possible.
