Named after the Spanish word for fresh-pressed sugarcane juice (guarapo), this sweet and balanced decaf coffee is a collection of smallholder lots curated by the Monkaaba group, a producer-led training and support organization based in San Augustin, Colombia.

"I was so disappointed with this as I LOVE the tortoiseshell blend, but it’s not for me. I don’t know if it was the batch or this particular coffee just doesn’t work well with me on a chemical level, but I hated it. It smelled an bit off from the get-go and had a strange aftertaste, but wasn’t obviously rancid—my mom with a more sensitive palette and sense of smell didn’t detect anything like what I did. I tried it a couple of times, but I couldn’t make myself finish it and as I’m the main coffee maker and drinker here I threw the rest out after avoiding it for a solid month. I’d give it 0 stars for my palette but I think that’s unfair as I was the only one who experienced the strong aversion to this coffee. "
