Mom. Wife. Marketer. Blogger. • Austin, TX
Marketer by day and blogger by night, Vilma will "happily drink too much coffee and wine to survive the beautiful chaos of it all."
“I wish everything started an hour later, so we could slow down the morning even more!”
§ What time do you get to sleep? What time do you wake up?
I aim for no later than midnight. After my boys and husband go to bed, I work on all things blog, getting ready for the next day. I'm up by 6 am--even on the weekends. There's nothing better than getting up before anyone else and enjoying my coffee in a quiet home :)
§ What do you dream about?
Traveling to Paris one day with my husband, a happy family life for both of my sons, a successful work life that shows my kids the value of hard work. In essence, a happy, healthy home life filled by experiences we'll forever treasure.
§ What’s the first thing you do once you’re awake?
Check my overnight notifications on my phone, then straight to the coffee machine!
§ What morning ritual do you have that’s sacred to starting your day off right?
Early morning lattes not drunk in a hurry, best enjoyed with a book. Even if it's ten minutes before I hear, "Mommmm!"
§ What one possession/object is essential to your morning?
My vanilla latte.
§ With whom do you spend your mornings?
My husband, our two boys and our cat.
§ What do you eat for breakfast?
I usually make a smoothie (fruit, almond milk, kale, protein powder and chia seeds) or toast with peanut butter and bananas.
§ What kind of coffee do you drink in the morning, and how do you prepare it?
Every morning I have a latte. I add a splash of vanilla, cinnamon and a small teaspoon of sugar. It's bliss and I can't start my day without it.
§ What’s the one upgrade you wish you could add to your morning?
I wish everything started an hour later, so we could slow down the morning even more!
§ What do you consider the end of your morning?
My morning ritual ends when I pack my kids in the car and drive them to school, or when the first meeting of the day starts. After that, it's constant, busy chaos and the morning blends into afternoon in a snap.
