Curator's Notes

We’re having tangerine dreams with this lovely cup from Heza washing station, which means “beautiful place”. This roast is light but substantial, with a body like black tea and a twist of ripe, sugary tangerine. One sip, and you’ll be in your own beautiful place.

Roaster's Notes

This is one of the beautiful hills of Heza washing station where farming communities grow their coffee between banana trees and lush tea plantations. Upwards of 1,876 farmers deliver coffee cherries to Heza washing station every year. Heza is the second washing station built by Ben and Kristy Carlson of the Long Miles Project. Nkonge Hill is a stunning example of the quality of Burundi Coffee and the dedication to the local land. Notes of black tea, tangerine acidity, sweet, lingering finish.

"Loved it. Black tea really came through. Not as much on the tangerine. Would definitely have again. (chemex)"

"I liked this one a lot. It had some oddly delicious flavors of citrus tart, definite black tea flavor, which often isn't my favorite but it really worked with this one. Great bold flavor, not mellow at all, but seriously a good cup of coffee."
GUNNER 08/31/2018
★★★★★
"A little acidic for my liking but still a great blend. If you are into citrus notes you will most likely enjoy this blend."
KIM 08/24/2018
★★★★★
"Had this as a cold brew, and it was amazing. Tasted full and fresh- just the right amount of citrus. "
BRET 08/05/2018

"A light, lemony-tea sipper great for any time of day. It's an easy drinker with character!"
CAFFEINATED 07/31/2018
★★★★★
"At first, there is an interesting citrusy sweet tartness that grabs the tip of your tongue. Afterwards, the black tea flavor comes alive. It has a very subtle aroma. (Pour-over)"
CARLY 07/30/2018

"Delicious as a cold brew! Easy sipping all day long! Love the black tea and orange. "
ILENE 07/29/2018

"My first coffee from Stamp Act. Would like to try more before I can get a good idea of the roaster. This was my least favorite in my month's sampler. Decent but nothing stood out. "
SARAH 07/29/2018
★★★★★
"Too citrusy and acidic for my tastes. Maybe the notes would be better in a more full bodied bean but they overwhelmed the light roast."
