Curator's Notes

Named in honor of a favorite Colombian nightclub frequented by this coffee’s producers, Zaperoco brings the fiesta to your cup. Bright lemon notes greet you, followed by honey sweetness, and a black tea finish that'll keep you coming back.

Roaster's Notes

https://pavementcoffeehouse.com/collections/coffee/products/zaperoco-colombia Our Colombian export partner Fairfield Trading put together a regional lot and named it "Zaperoco" after a nightclub in Cali, Colombia. Since our house blend is named after a notorious Boston rock club, we embraced it wholeheartedly! It all started when our Colombian export partner Fairfield Trading put together a regional lot from many producers in Nariño. There was no specific farm or coop to name the coffee after, so they called it "Zaperoco" after a nightclub frequented by coffee folks in the city of Cali, Colombia. Zaperoco has become our name for the expertly constructed regional lots that Fairfield puts together for us in the coffee regions around Cali. Many producers in the Tolima region contributed to the Zaperoco you are about to enjoy! We Taste: Milk Chocolate, Candied Lemon, Black Tea Producer: Multiple producers with small farms in the Ibague and Gaitania municipalities Location: Ibague and Gaitania, Tolima, Colombia Processing: Washed Process Elevation: 1900-2000 m. Varieties: Caturra, Colombia, Tabi
