COLOMBIA ROSE BOURBON #817

This fantastic coffee comes from Herkimer’s long-standing relationship with Finca Campo Amor, located in the rugged Andes mountains of Antioquia, Colombia. Scott, Herkimer’s coffee buyer, fell in love with this Rose Bourbon during a visit to the farm. The farm’s owner himself nudged Scott and pointed to this coffee, one small cup among many, as the “must try”. One taste, and Scott was blown away: for all its flavor, sweetness and clarity, he thought it would be a real luxury cup⁠—but it was no more expensive than the other lots! He bought it on the spot. With such a low price for such a special Colombian, Herkimer warned us that it’ll fly out the door.

The good news is that they put a small amount aside, just for us to share with you. “We only want real coffee lovers enjoying this one,” they told me. You just can’t pass up a roast like this: a small lot, direct-relationship coffee, hand-chosen by the farmer as one of his best harvests, passed along to one of the country’s top roasters. I don’t think I’ve ever tasted a coffee like this one, like a big cup of sugary pink lemonade.
